western Virginia

let me just first say
these pictures do not capture the magnificence, vastness, enormity of these mountains
around every bend, with each new angle of scenery, i would gasp, it was breathtaking
they seemed to rise up and stretch on forever
there appeared to be mountains rising out of even larger arcs of earth, like mountains within mountains
they went on forever, overlapping further into shades of grey and blue







me driving... :)






these were wide valleys far below the pull-off area on the highway
much more expansive than the valleys in west virginia
as if the mountains and valleys had been stretched out closer to the ocean



isn't it beautiful? I was just in awe...
